Julie Martin serves as General Counsel and Principal at WATG and Wimberly Interiors, where she leads the firm's legal activities, policies, and strategic legal guidance across its global hospitality design business. A trusted legal advisor and member of the Executive Committee, she brings extensive industry experience in professional liability, risk management, corporate governance, contract negotiations, mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property, litigation, and employment law. Prior to joining WATG, Martin spent nearly eight years at CallisonRTKL (Arcadis), where she rose from Corporate Counsel to Deputy General Counsel, supporting the legal and compliance needs of a complex global design practice. Earlier in her career, she practiced at Boyle Martin PLLC and Coulter Martin Smith PLLC in Seattle, focusing on labor and employment law, litigation, and business operations. She earned her Juris Doctor from Seattle University School of Law, graduating Cum Laude with the Dean's Award, and holds a degree from the University of Washington. With over two decades of legal experience, Martin is known for providing strategic insight at the intersection of law, business, and design.

She brings extensive industry experience in professional liability and risk management, corporate governance and contract negotiations, mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property, litigation and employment.

Throughout her professional career, Julie has embraced complex problems in fast-paced environments, with a keen interest in impacting the greater good.

With 20 years of legal experience, and 14 years legal experience in professional services, Julie provides WATG with relevant perspectives, deep knowledge, and unique insight into our global strategy in the hospitality space and the overall practice.
