Convening Overview
The past few years had been marked by yoyo dynamics in economics, investor sentiment, geopolitical occurrences, project financing, climate disasters, and talent flip-flops … to name a few. It was not so long before this convening that we experienced what has become known as the Global Financial Crisis of 2008-2009 when thousands of businesses failed. We wondered what lessons from that crisis were learned and applied towards sustainable business resilience? We were curious what lessons had been adopted coming through the previous three years to ensure design firm resilience?
The acceleration, frequency, and volatility of change was occurring unlike any other prior time. The themes of risk awareness and mitigation, anticipatory scenario planning, adoption of strategic mindsets, and the essential markets of both leadership and business resilience were explored.
