Irene Graham OBE is the CEO of the ScaleUp Institute, a private sector, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to helping high-growth businesses increase their scale and impact in the UK and beyond. Since founding the Institute in 2015, she has worked closely with the UK Government, regional partners, and the private sector to advance research, thought leadership, and best practice around what it takes for businesses to scale successfully. Before leading the ScaleUp Institute, Graham served as Managing Director of the British Bankers Association and spent nearly two decades as Managing Director at Standard Chartered Bank, with roles based in London and Singapore. She is also a Visiting Professor of Entrepreneurship at the University of Strathclyde and serves in various non-executive and advisory capacities, including as a Board Member of Creative UK. In 2019, she was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the Queen's Birthday Honours List for her services to UK business and the economy.
